Meryl is a full-time Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor at Flourish Wellness, where she works exclusively with adults (18+) navigating complex mental health challenges and working toward lasting recovery. In addition to her clinical work, she provides supervision for LPC candidates, supporting the next generation of therapists as they grow in competence and confidence.
She specializes in supporting adults facing borderline personality disorder (BPD), eating disorders, mood disorders, OCD, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. Her therapeutic approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, grounded in the understanding that recovery is not linear and each person’s path is unique.
Meryl draws from evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS)—approaches in which she feels most confident and grounded. While she has prior training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and CBT for suicidal ideation, she is currently focusing on deepening her expertise in a few core approaches before returning to those modalities with fresh training in the future.
In her work with BPD, she emphasizes skills such as emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. For clients with OCD, she integrates CBT and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help reduce compulsive behaviors and build tolerance for uncertainty. She also incorporates therapeutic interventions to support adults dealing with disordered eating, distorted body image, and mood instability.
Meryl fosters a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where her clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. Her goal is to provide structured, compassionate care that builds resilience, challenges unhelpful patterns, and supports adults in creating meaningful change.
Meryl works exclusively with adults (18+) and accepts Aetna, BCBS, UHC/UMR, Cigna, CommunityCare, and HealthChoice. Both in-person and virtual appointments are available during standard business hours, as well as after hours and weekends. She is currently full, but if you feel her approach aligns with your needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out to be added to her waitlist.
